Venture out for a few days
Morecambe Bay is the home of the Bay Cycle Way – a national cycle network route covering 81 miles hugging the coastline from Sandy Gap on Walney Island to Glasson Dock, south of Lancaster. It’s the only long-distance route in the UK, where you can actually see the end at the beginning and is the perfect introduction for people who are new to cycle touring.
There's lots of reasons to come back with the Lakes and Dales Loop, Way of the Roses and Walney to Wear passing through the Bay also taking in some fantastic stretches of the Bay's best cycle routes.
Explore further and let an E-bike take the strain.
And for those of you who'd like a little boost, our network of E-bike hire points is being developed. They’re perfect for gently growing your cycling confidence and fitness and can help you go for longer days out. Find out where you can hire an E-bike in Morecambe Bay here.
